The Dignity Memorial Compassion Helpline

Grief is both unique and universal. We can feel anger, shock, guilt, disbelief, and in cases of prolonged illness, even relief. We wonder: "Am I normal for feeling this way?" When will I feel better?" "How should I feel?"

"I took care of my mom for eleven years before she passed away. It was a huge adjustment. I really am so grateful for the way the Compassion Helpline supported me."
- I.M. - MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA

Although we may handle the sorrow and emotional pain in our own way, there are times when counsel from others can significantly help the healing process.

Dignity Memorial funeral, cremation and cemetery providers understand the special challenges families face when dealing with loss. For this reason, we developed the Dignity Memorial Compassion Helpline. The caring, professional counselors of the Compassion Helpline are available to assist you and your family members.

THE COMPASSION HELPLINE is a service offered exclusively through Dignity Memorial providers to help those in grief. It gives you a place to turn for support, practical advice and comfort, especially if clergy, family or friends are unavailable.

THE COMPASSION HELPLINE is a counseling resource that is available twenty-four hours a day, three hundred sixty five days a year. It is staffed at all times by licensed professionals specially trained in grief counseling. All counselors hold advanced doctorate's or master's degrees. By calling the toll-free number, you can talk at any time to a trained counselor.

THE COMPASSION HELPLINE is accessible to immediate family members (spouse, siblings, and children) as well as significant others. It is available up to one year after the time of death, and may be used in conjunction with hospice services.

THE COMPASSION HELPLINE maintains a network of therapists and support groups for face-to-face counseling (at your expense) if desired. These individual appointments can be scheduled at your convenience.

After the service, you are not alone. THE COMPASSION HELPLINE is included in every Dignity Memorial funeral and cremation plan. This is just another way Dignity Memorial providers offer a higher level of care - before, during, and after the service.
